Consorta Prepares for Conference A bold title for a bold conference. At least that's the expectation of Consorta, the Schaumburg, Ill.-based group purchasing organization. "Integrity - In Principle and Practice" is the name of the organization's Annual Resource Management Conference, to be held Oct. 9-12 in Chicago. Education will be the primary focus of the conference, which will offer a combination of keynote addresses, breakout tracks and product exhibits. According to Consorta, the conference will be of value to management and senior-level personnel in administration, critical care, cardiology, food services, laboratory, materials management and purchasing, nursing, operating room, pharmacy and radiology. A total of 68 breakout sessions will be offered, with continuing education credits applied by a variety of groups, including the Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management, American College of Healthcare Executives, Institute for Supply Management and other organizations. Consorta has expanded this year's supplier exhibits. There will be two separate shows - one on Monday and a second (with a different group of exhibitors) on Tuesday.
