Forward thinkers, take note: The 2009 MedAssets Healthcare Business Summit isn’t as far off as it would seem. The event will kickoff April 13-17, 2009, in Las Vegas, Nev., at the Mandalay Bay Resort. MedAssets is encouraging attendees to register early.
The event is geared toward “forward-thinking healthcare providers, those that understand MedAssets’ focus on financial performance and are eager to learn more about innovative solutions for improving revenue integrity and controlling costs,” says the GPO.
The Healthcare Business Summit brings together IDNs, hospitals, surgery centers, long-term care centers and other non-acute providers into one event designed to provide MedAssets’ customers with education on best practices to help solve common financial and operational problems the providers face.
Up and up
The Healthcare Business Summit is growing. MedAssets has reported growth every year the event has been held, with more than 3,000 attendees at the 2008 event. More than 408 suppliers exhibited at the 2008 Vendor Fair and MedAssets is expecting an increase in 2009.
Expect a healthy dose of education at the summit. Of the 2008 post-event survey results, 57 percent noted education was one of their top three reasons for attending the MedAssets Healthcare Business Summit. The 2009 Performance Forum has been expanded to a full day of multi-track, multi-level education and peer-to-peer interaction.
The 2009 Performance Forum offers several tracks to educate hospital executives on key areas for performance improvement in revenue cycle and supply chain management in addition to timely topics. Many sessions will provide professional continuing education credits.
Attendees can expect to hear from both industry leaders and their peers from leading facilities and receive useful tools and real world examples of achieved improvements in all areas of hospital management including:
