October 12, 2021 – AmerisourceBergen (Conshohocken, PA) has added universal RAIN radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags on medication, enabling health systems to manage and monitor inventory. It is also rolling out a mobile application to complement its medication tray solution, allowing users to scan products from anywhere within the health system.
All product comes pre-tagged with RAIN RFID tags. This capability allows AmerisourceBergen’s medication tray solution to recognize any tag conforming to the RAIN standard. Any tagged product can be immediately read and utilized by the solution.
