Consensus Health adds five New Jersey-based physician practices to its growing medical group

July 25, 2023 – Consensus Health, a leading physician-owned and -governed medical group comprised of more than 150 New Jersey-based independent primary care providers and specialty doctors across more than 60 locations, announced today the expansion of its network.

In recent months, five New Jersey-based independent medical practices spanning eight physicians and six locations, have joined the Consensus Health Medical Group, which now includes 53 practices and more than 150 independent providers within its growing network.

The new additions include:

  • Consensus Health Primary Care Laurel Avenue (Formerly sole practitioner) – Dr. Robert DeMartin, Specializing in Internal Medicine, 1330 Laurel Avenue, Suite 201, Sea Girt, NJ 08750, 732-449-6681,
  • Consensus Health Primary Care Med-Care (Formerly Med-Care) – Specializing in Family Medicine. Two locations: 245 Park Avenue, East Rutherford, NJ 07073, 201-939-7161
    150 Fairfield Road, Fairfield, NJ 07004, 973-227-0020
  • Consensus Health Primary Care Morris Medical Associates (Formerly Morris Medical Associates) – Specializing in Internal Medicine, 3799 U.S. 46 E., Suite 209, Parsippany, NJ 07054, 973-334-8010
  • Consensus Health Primary Care Stelton (Formerly sole practitioner) – Dr. Yeow Tong, Specializing in Internal Medicine, 1098 Stelton Road, Suite 1, Piscataway, NJ 08854, 732-572-5950
  • Consensus Health Primary Care Voorhees (Formerly sole practitioner) – Dr. Stephen Raphael, Specializing in Internal Medicine, 303 County Route 561, Voorhees, NJ 08043, 856-429-6267

In the case of these five additions, physicians chose to join Consensus Health based on the many benefits they receive from being part of a larger medical group model. These advantages include, but are not limited to, participating in value-based programs to demonstrate the benefits of improving population health outcomes; gaining access to various administrative support services; utilizing various technology platforms and enhanced turn-key practice processes; and, gaining a greater voice when dealing with contracting across many areas of the business. Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, being part of Consensus Health Medical Group affords member physicians clinical autonomy. This is of major importance to independent physicians as the key reason they practice autonomously is to ensure they retain their abilities to focus on the patient and make the best decisions with regard to their care plans.
