April 20, 2021 – HHS is allocating $145 million in grant funding to health center look-alikes (LALs) that deliver primary care services to underserved communities but do not receive health center grants from the department. The funds will support approximately 100 health center program look-alikes to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, strengthen vaccination efforts and enhance healthcare services. The funding is made available through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HSRA).
