Leadership Lesson: You Own The Outcome!

I am currently reading what I consider to be an excellent book. It is titled Is This Seat Taken? It’s Never Too Late To Find The Right Seat by Kristin S. Kaufman. The book was written for people who find themselves in circumstances not planned, not expected, not necessarily desired, and they are asking themselves, “What am I going to do now?”

The book is not only an excellent read, but also an inspirational resource for leaders at any level and in any area of business or life.

The author shares this undeniable truth:

I dare say, there is not a single human being who at least once in his or her life has not faced an unforeseen situation, a newfound reality, a daunting challenge, or a veiled opportunity, and not wondered what to do.

Using interesting and inspirational true-life stories, the book provides hope, inspiration, and highly relevant and applicable lessons. The many excellent leadership lessons come from the lives of men and women who found new and unexpected success after finding themselves in circumstances not planned, expected, or necessarily desired.

Each of these people asked and answered the question, “What am I going to do now?” They answered the question with action and built amazing, highly successful and positive legacies that continue to endure and inspire.

Kaufman writes, “Each of these individuals aligned with their purpose. Our power as individuals fully manifests when we become authentically aligned.”

The author concludes the introduction with this powerful reality:

It is never too late to make the contribution we were placed on the earth to make and to build the life we want. It is never too late to chase your dreams. Remember, you own the outcome. No one else does.

In future articles, we will address some of the powerful, life-changing leadership lessons contained in this book. I highly recommend the book. Buy it. Read and carefully study it. Apply its powerful principles and lessons. Use it as a leadership resource throughout your entire organization.

You, your team, and your organization will significantly benefit if you carefully study and apply the powerful and inspirational leadership lessons contained within this book.

“Remember, you own the outcome. No one else does.”
