April 20, 2021 – The administrators of Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, which is part of the Mon Health System, plan to open a new location in Weston, WV. They plan to relocate the hospital and construct a new 29 bed acute care hospital, according to a document filed with the West Virginia Health Care Authority. The new facility will be a full-service acute care hospital offering the same services that are now offered at the present facility. It will be located on Staunton Drive, along Interstate 79 and the Corridor H intersection in Weston on land currently owned by the hospital. It is set to be completed within three years of certificate of need approval by the West Virginia Health Care Authority.
