October 12, 2021 – PCI Pharma Services (Philadelphia, PA) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Lyophilization Services of New England, Inc. (LSNE), a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), from global private equity firm Permira. LSNE (Bedford, NH) serves global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies. It will expand PCI’s breadth of services as a global CDMO and adds five FDA-approved facilities in the U.S. and Europe, with a sixth facility expecting approval.
LSNE marks PCI’s fourth acquisition in three years, enhancing its focus on global specialty manufacturing capabilities.
