September 3, 2021 – Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health announced they have signed a formal integration agreement to create a new health system.
The announcement follows a Letter of Intent (LOI) that Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health signed in June 2021 to create a new health system.
The new health system, temporarily named BHSH System, is expected to launch this fall. The combination still requires completion of the regulatory review process.
Tina Freese Decker, President & CEO of Spectrum Health, will be president and CEO of BHSH System. Beaumont Health Board Chair Julie Fream will be the Board Chair of the new organization.
