March 12, 2024- Amazon’s Alexa has now integrated a telehealth and virtual healthcare delivery platform into its software. This update allows patients to make calls and seek medical assistance from the use of their voice. The delivery platform, through Hellocare, allows patients to engage with physicians through a Hello 2 device plugged into their TV. The new Alexa Built-in Hello 2 device offers customers connection with caregivers, among other features, according to a March 11 news release from Amazon.
