May 9, 2024- Cleveland Clinic has announced new leaders for its Northeast Ohio Market. On July 1, Donald A. Malone, Jr., M.D., will transition from his role as President of the Northeast Ohio Market, to serve as a senior advisor for capital, space and strategy. He will also continue his clinical practice. On July 1, Jorge A. Guzman, M.D., Chief Executive Officer of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD), part of the M42 group, will also be returning to the United States to serve as the new President of the Northeast Ohio Market.
Dr. Malone began his career as a clinician and researcher. During his 35 years at Cleveland Clinic, he has held numerous leadership positions, including Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology and President of Lutheran Hospital. Dr. Malone is recognized internationally for his contributions to psychiatric research and innovation.
In his new role, Dr. Guzman will be responsible for overseeing the leadership for main campus, all Ohio regional hospitals, family health centers, ambulatory sites and pharmacy.
