June 15, 2023 – McKesson Ventures’ managing director Dave Schulte has been recognized by GrowthCap as one of the top 25 healthcare investors for 2023. This award acknowledges healthcare investors who have demonstrated high levels of sustained investment performance, and who are recognized as leaders by portfolio company CEOs, industry peers and colleagues.
For two decades, Schulte has been investing in innovative healthcare technology and services businesses focused on improving data insights, health outcomes, and access to care. Schulte joined McKesson Ventures in 2014 as a managing director after 10 years leading Kaiser Permanente Ventures. He took the helm of McKesson Ventures in 2020, from Tom Rodgers, McKesson EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, and now leads one of the most respected and diverse investment teams in healthcare venture.
During his tenure at McKesson Ventures, Schulte has helped build out one of the industry’s strongest pharma services portfolios, which include his investments in Komodo Health, Shyft Analytics (acquired by Medidata) and Saama. In addition, he has also led investments in several other category-defining businesses in value-based care including Aledade and Landmark (acquired by Optum).
