September 15, 2026- HCA Healthcare, Inc. announced that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP). The acquisition of CHCP builds on HCA Healthcare’s longstanding commitment to healthcare education and the creation of additional pathways for students to pursue careers in allied health and serve patients in their communities.
HCA Healthcare currently supports the education and development of nurses through Galen College of Nursing, Research College of Nursing and Mercy School of Nursing. Additionally, HCA Healthcare is a national leader and sponsor of Graduate Medical Education, with more than 365 programs across 87 hospitals. CHCP currently serves more than 8,000 students at 10 campuses across Texas and through online programs. The college offers more than 20 accredited healthcare programs designed to prepare students for careers across a range of allied health disciplines and has helped prepare more than 52,000 students for healthcare careers since its founding in 1988.
