September 14, 2026- The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) announced that Matthew J. Rowan, President and CEO of HIDA, is the recipient of the 2026 John F. Sasen Leadership Award. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership, commitment, and service to the healthcare distribution industry.

Since becoming HIDA President & CEO in 2000, Matt Rowan has positioned the association as the leading advocate for the medical products distribution industry. He expanded HIDA’s research and analytics capabilities, delivering valuable insights into distribution trends and market performance. Through periods of change, from digital transformation to a global pandemic, Rowan ensured HIDA remained a trusted voice for the industry and a valued partner to policymakers. His leadership continues to influence discussions around healthcare supply chain resilience and the essential role distributors play in patient care.
